Save Pangolins
Pangolins are shy, curious mammals that are relatively unknown to most people. They also desperately need our help. We lose 1 pangolin every 5 minutes to poaching. Save Pangolins is the most effective pangolin conservation project in Africa and Asia. Save Pangolins aims to eliminate the demand, trafficking, and poaching crisis that puts all 8 species of pangolins at risk of extinction.
Sloth Conservation Foundation
The Sloth Conservation Foundation works to protect sloths in the wild. They create crossings and insulate power lines to keep sloths safe, educate the local community on how to interact with sloths, and fund research to understand the biology, ecology, genetics, and physiology of all 6 sloth species.
Our Horn is NOT Medicine
OHNM, Our Horn is NOT Medicine, a project of the Southern African Wildlife College in Kruger South Africa. Their work fights against wildlife poaching through aerial surveillance, K9 support, field ranger training, and education. To date, 89 poachers have been arrested as a result of their efforts, saving hundreds of rhinoceros.
Lao Elephant Initiative
LEI, the Lao Elephant Initiative, was founded with the purpose of promoting the wellbeing of Asian Elephants. Their current project focuses on wild elephants in the Nam Poui National Biodiversity Conservation Area in Southeast Asia — developing ranger training and a captive elephant welfare project.
Latin American Sea Turtles Association
LAST — the Latin American Sea Turtles association — helps sea turtles along the Central American region. Their latest projects include a nesting beach project (protecting sea turtles at their most vulnerable), a rescue center and coastal research project, and a mangrove forest and seagrass bed restoration project to maintain biodiversity.
Giraffe Conservation Foundation
The Giraffe Conservation Foundation (GCF) is the only organization in the world that concentrates solely on the conservation and management of giraffes in the wild throughout Africa. From their base in Namibia, GCF currently works with partners in 15 African countries to save giraffes in the wild.
Lion Guardians
The Lion Guardians works to promote coexistence to protect lions and preserve cultures. They develop evidence-based strategies and the integration of social and biological sciences, including traditional and indigenous knowledge, to mitigate conflicts between people and wildlife. Their work transforms communities of people who were once afraid of lions into lion protectors.
